This notification is to inform you of upcoming road reseal works scheduled across the Brighton, Glenelg, and Somerton Park areas as part of the City of Holdfast Bay’s 2024/25 Capital Works Program. The remaining street segments scheduled for resealing are as follows:
Brighton – Monday 26 May to Thursday 29 May 2025
- Comley Street (between Sexton Road and Lewis Street)
- Sexton Road (between Hastings Road and Comley Street)
- Hastings Road (between Sexton Road and Yarmouth Street)
Glenelg – Monday 2 June to Tuesday 17 June 2025
- Munro Street, Glenelg North (between Anzac Highway and Ronald Terrace) – Monday, 2 June
- Ferguson Street, Glenelg North (between Anzac Highway and Ronald Terrace) – Monday, 2 June to Tuesday, 3 June
- Ronald Terrace, Glenelg North (between Pine Avenue and Ferguson Street) – Monday, 2 June to Tuesday, 3 June
- Robert Street, Glenelg South (between Moseley Street and West End) – Tuesday, 17 June
Somerton Park – Monday 16 June 2025
- Repton Road (between Grantham Road and King George Avenue)
These proactive maintenance works aim to improve the longevity and condition of our local roads by addressing pavement deterioration, resurfacing the road, and renewing line markings, contributing to a safer and higher-quality road network.
Fulton Hogan Infrastructure Services has been contracted to deliver these works. Notification letters are being distributed to residents and businesses in the affected areas.
Works will take place between 7am and 5pm, weather permitting.
Temporary road closures and detours will be in place during this time to ensure public and worker safety.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to speak with the on-site Site Supervisor or Traffic Controller should they require access or assistance. Minor ancillary works will follow in the weeks after the resealing but will not affect driveway access.

SA Power Networks is undertaking these works to reinforce the area's power supply, including supporting future commercial and residential developments at the Seacliff Heights site.

Closure Details & Duration:
- Location: Scholefield Road, between Newland Avenue and Ocean Boulevard.
- Closure Type: Shuttle flow procedures will be in place on Scholefield Road, and a closure / Detour will be in place for Newland Avenue.
Traffic controllers on site will assist with resident access on Newland Avenue when SAPN advises that it is safe to do so.
Traffic Management & Access:
- Through Traffic: Shuttle flow procedures will be in place on Scholefield Road, and a closure / Detour will be in place for Newland Avenue.
- Resident and Business Access: Access will be maintained for residents and businesses located within the closed section of Scholefield Road. Please follow on-site traffic management directions.
- Detour Route: During Road Closures, all other traffic will be detoured via Newland Ave, Angas Cr and Dudley Cr. Please follow the marked detour signs.

This notice informs residents and road users of upcoming essential road works on Scholefield Road, Seacliff. Villawood Properties is undertaking these works as part of the Seacliff Heights Commercial & Residential Development and will involve installing a new roundabout.
Project & Schedule:
- Works: Installation of a new roundabout on Scholefield Road.

- Expected Completion Date: Friday, 27 June 2025 (close of business), weather permitting.
Traffic Management & Access:
- Through Traffic: Scholefield Road will be closed to all through traffic between Newland Avenue and Ocean Boulevard.
- Resident and Business Access: Access will be maintained for residents and businesses located within the closed section of Scholefield Road. Please follow on-site traffic management directions.
- Detour Route: All other traffic will be detoured via Kauri Parade to Wheatland Street, and then onto Brighton Road. Please follow the marked detour signs.
Due to the scope of work required, this full closure is the safest and most timely method to complete the roundabout installation and minimise overall disruption.

Base Civil are delivering a stormwater upgrade on Adelphi Crescent, adjacent to Newhaven Avenue.
Construction works are scheduled to commence on 15 May 2025, with expected completion on 20 June 2025, weather permitting.
Traffic restrictions will be in place during this time, split between two stages. Stage 1 will maintain southbound traffic, with detours in place for northbound traffic. Stage 2 will maintain both directions of traffic, with speed restrictions in place. Resident access will still be available.

The City of Holdfast Bay is undertaking essential upgrades at the Colley Terrace roundabout, Glenelg. These upgrades aim to improve pavement conditions, safety, and stormwater infrastructure. To minimise disruption, the works will be delivered in stages under managed road closures.
Kent Civil Pty Ltd has been engaged to deliver these works, which are scheduled to commence the week of 12 May 2025, with completion expected by the end of June 2025, weather permitting.
Working hours: 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Construction Staging and Traffic Management:
- Stage 1 (Approx. 3 weeks)
Southern lanes closed to through traffic – access for local traffic only. Eastern, Western, and Northern lanes will remain open.

- Jetty Road, Glenelg, Augusta Street, and Chappell Drive will remain accessible.
- Access to/from Wilson Carpark, Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club, the beach, etc., will be maintained via Jetty Road, Glenelg, and Augusta Street.
Affected residents and businesses are being directly notified.

- Gurrs Road, between Dunluce Avenue and Jetty Road (local traffic excepted)
- Twining Lane, between Jetty Road and Bindarra Road (local traffic excepted)

- Jetty Road, between Esplanade and 45m east of Elm Street
- Esplanade, between Dunluce Avenue and Beach Road
- Elm Street, between Jetty Road and Bindarra Road
