Each year, residents of Holdfast Bay, local community organisations, groups, sporting clubs and schools are invited to submit nominations for the Holdfast Bay Citizen, Young Citizen, Community Event of the Year awards and the Award for Active Citizenships.

A Street Meet is a resident-run street party focused on neighbours creating connections and children playing together in the street.
