The Bay Discovery Centre is a social history museum in the heart of Glenelg, celebrating the cultural heritage of South Australia. Wander through our galleries to discover the stories of the Kaurna People of the Adelaide Plains, South Australia's Proclamation and settlement, the evolution of beach culture, and some of our State's most loved identities.
Entry is by Gold Coin Donation.
Please note that the Bay Discovery Centre lift will be closed from 16 September for approximately four to six weeks for maintenance.
The main floor and mezzanine levels will be accessible via stairs only while the lift is temporarily closed for essential repairs. The maintenance work is expected to continue for approximately four to six weeks.
Opening Hours
Open daily from 10am to 4pm.
Closed Christmas Day and Good Friday.

Bookings can be made for groups of more than 10 people below.
