Community Planting Day, Glenelg North

The Friends of Sturt River Landcare Group is a community of nature-loving residents who have been planting local native species in and around the Sturt River (Warriparri), Glenelg North, since 2019. They established and now maintain, in collaboration with the City of Holdfast Bay, the biodiversity garden beds at Stewart, Bob Lewis, Fordham, and Shannon Avenue Reserves adjacent to the river.

Come and join them for a morning of planting at Bob Lewis Reserve in Glenelg North as they add sedges and grasses to extend the frog bog in this lovely local reserve. All are welcome.

Individuals and families can register on arrival at the trailer parked on Highland Avenue, Glenelg North. Community groups must make contact before the event by emailing friendsofsturtriver@gmail.com.
