To acknowledge and commemorate all the marine animals that have died as a result of the harmful algal bloom, Holdfast Bay Mayor Amanda Wilson is encouraging the community to come together at the Beach Vigil for Marine Life on Saturday 9 August.

To acknowledge and commemorate all the marine animals that have died as a result of the harmful algal bloom, Holdfast Bay Mayor Amanda Wilson is encouraging the community to come together at the Beach Vigil for Marine Life on Saturday 9 August.

This community-led event will be held at both Glenelg and Brighton beaches, near the jetties, at 5.30pm, and people are encouraged to bring with them a candle in a jar to light up the beaches as part of the commemoration.
