The
Wigley Reserve Playspace features a climbing tunnel, in-ground trampolines,
swings, slides, a log climbing structure, stepping boulders, and a sensory nature trail. In addition, there is a BBQ area, drinking fountain, bike racks, custom-built shade structure, seating, and a ten-new exercise station fitness hub.
Accessibility
is a focus with the new space offering increased opportunity to all ages,
interests, and abilities.
The
playspace is close to public transport, food and drink offerings, and walking and cycling paths, making it even more attractive to families.
A light tower was installed between the sheltered BBQ area and toilet block – providing much-needed light for people using the reserve for exercise before sunrise or after dark. Free to use, the light is programmed to be operated between 6am and sunrise and 5.30pm - 8.30pm. It has an easy-to-use push button on the light pole for operation. Please plan your activities accordingly, and remember that the light pole will not be active outside of these hours.
