Meet children’s author and Olympian Brett Maher, creator of the action-packed new release ‘The Adventures of Jack Gibson'

Brett will read an excerpt from his book, share how the story came to life, and answer kids’ questions about writing and creativity. After the author session, it’s time to get active with a basketball shoot-out competition (with prizes!)

Join us for this fun-filled event combining storytelling and sport to inspire confidence, creativity, and a love of reading.

Brett Maher was born and raised in South Australia, where he still lives with his wife, two children and dog. He played basketball professionally in Australia and abroad for eighteen years and represented his country at three Olympic Games and one World Championship. Currently, he is a senior firefighter with the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service and enjoys being deeply involved in supporting the community. This is Brett’s debut in writing short stories within the Sci-Fi Fantasy genre.
