Immunisation

At the City of Holdfast Bay, we support the health of the community by providing safe, accessible, and cost-effective immunisation services to assist in the prevention of diseases.

Vaccines recommended for babies, children, adolescents, and adults on the National Immunisation Program (NIP)* are available at no cost for people with a current Medicare card.

(*Except for the shingles vaccine, some Medically at Risk (MAR) groups, and some catch-up programs. These are available through GP services.)

Please Note:

• Council's immunisation service is not able to provide services to non-Medicare cardholders. Please see your GP.
• There is a fee for the Boostrix vaccine (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis [Whooping cough] combined), for all adults aged 20 years+ (unless pregnant).

From 15 March 2024, you will be able to click on the 'Book an Immunisation Appointment' link below to book your 2024 flu vaccination.

Please book in to ‘Flu Only’ clinics which will be held on 19 April, 1 May, 17 May and 5 June

Flu Immunisation Consent forms can be downloaded below. Please bring a completed form with you on the day.

Cost: $22 fee for clients who do not qualify for a funded dose as per the National Immunisation Schedule.

Clinics are held:

• 3pm – 5:30pm on the first Wednesday of every month.
• 10am – 12:30pm on the third Friday of every month.

Please note that as of 1 January 2024, you must have a booking to attend one of our immunisation clinics.

Remember to bring your child’s health record (blue book), Medicare card, and any immunisation records. We recommend that you complete an immunisation consent form before your appointment. Consent forms for adults and children are available to download below.
