Natural sites in the City of Holdfast Bay contain fragments of remnant bushland that are precious to our state’s biodiversity. Trees For Life restores and protects these vital remnants in Barton & Gilbertson Gullies and Kingston Cliff Face through the Bush For Life program, in partnership with council.
If you'd like to volunteer independently or with a group on these sites in the City of Holdfast Bay, you'll need to attend a Bushcare Workshop. You'll learn the best strategies and minimal disturbance techniques for bush restoration. You can then go on to adopt one or more of these sites. With 3 Bush For Life sites to choose from, you can get to know a local site and its native plants and create a plan of action with your Regional Coordinator. You can visit the site when it suits you and work at your own pace to make a big difference to the health of your patch.
If you would like to attend a workshop, please book in through Trees For Life. You can go to the Trees For Life website for a full list of workshop dates and more information about the Bush For Life program.
