Gates open at noon – spectators will be treated to a marvellous exhibition of bowls from the state’s most decorated bowlers.
With the main match between the South Australian Invitation team and a Great British selection starting at 1pm, there will be curtain-raiser fun contests, South Aussie and British food, great music and a party atmosphere. If you’ve ever wondered about how good the sport of bowls is – and more specifically the Glenelg Bowling Club – this day provides the ideal showcase.
Matches will go until 4.30pm, with music and presentations to follow.
Bowls doesn’t always need to be deadly serious! Entry is free, and full bar facilities and great food will be available.
