First Houses

By the mid-1880s, the sand dunes of Glenelg’s esplanade had long given way to the summer residences of the prominent and wealthy of South Australia. Commercial and Civic buildings had sprung up around Moseley Square and the landscape, once dominated by nature, was beginning to change.

Sea, Road & Rail

Stretch your legs out on one of Glenelg’s famous red rattler tram seats and explore the evolution of transport in South Australia.

Amusements By the Sea

Who remembers Magic Mountain? Did you know that Luna Park, Sydney’s famous landmark, once graced Glenelg’s shores? Take a gander in front of our old Magic Mountain Mirror and step back in time to a world of wonder and magic.
