NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES & CHANGES TO TRAFFIC CONDITIONS

Section 17 & 33 Road Traffic Act 1961

GLENELG NEW YEAR’S EVE CELEBRATIONS

6pm Monday 31 December 2018 – 4.00 am Tuesday 1 January 2019

During these times, the following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic –

  • AUGUSTA ST GLENELG, between Colley Tce and Torrens Square
  • COLLEY TCE GLENELG, between Anzac Hwy and Jetty Rd
  • DURHAM ST GLENELG, between Dutton Lane and Jetty Rd
  • HIGH ST GLENELG, between Moseley St and Partridge St
  • JETTY RD GLENELG, between Colley Tce & Brighton Rd
  • MAXWELL TCE GLENELG, between Brighton Rd and Malcolm St
  • MOSELEY ST GLENELG, between Jetty Rd and Elizabeth St
  • SUSSEX ST, GLENELG, between Anzac Highway and Jetty Rd

Participants are exempted from Australian Road Rules 230 & 238.

During these times, 25km/h and 40km/h reduced speed limits will apply on –

BRIGHTON RD GLENELG and GLENELG EAST, between Anzac Hwy and Rugless Tce

During these times, a 25km/h reduced speed limit will apply on –

  • ANZAC HWY GLENELG and GLENELG NORTH, between Colley Tce and Sturt St
  • GORDON ST GLENELG, between Jetty Rd and Augusta St
  • PARTRIDGE ST GLENELG, between Jetty Rd and High St

Pet owners are advised that fireworks displays will be held on Glenelg Jetty at 9.30pm and again at 12 midnight.

Public bus services will be available at –

  • ANZAC HWY GLENELG NORTH, adjacent Wigley Reserve to northern suburbs and the city
  • HIGH ST GLENELG, between Moseley St & Chapel St to southern suburbs and the city
  • MAXWELL TCE GLENELG EAST, between Brighton Rd and Malcolm St to the city

Taxi services will be available at –

ANZAC HWY GLENELG, between Adelphi Tce and Sturt St

The following roads will be closed to traffic from 7.30pm on Monday 31 December 2018 to 10.30pm on Monday 31 December 2018 for the Brighton New Year’s Eve Celebrations event:

  • BEACH ROAD BRIGHTON, between the Esplanade and Elm Street
  • BINDARRA ROAD BRIGHTON, between the Esplanade and Twining Lane
  • ESPLANADE BRIGHTON, between Dunluce Avenue and Cambridge Terrace
  • JETTY ROAD BRIGHTON, between the Esplanade and Gurrs Road

Pet owners are advised a fireworks display will be held on Brighton Jetty at 9.30pm.

Participants are exempted from Australian Road Rules 230 & 238.
