Glenelg is Adelaide’s favourite seaside destination set on the long sandy white beaches of Holdfast Bay. Jetty Road, Glenelg
Jetty Road Glenelg is just 20 minutes from the City, you can lose yourself in the kilometre long shopping strip filled with stylish fashion boutiques, art galleries, homewares, gift shops and more.
There are over 300 businesses to choose from. It's the perfect place to grab a barista made coffee, a glass of wine, or a meal in one of our many interesting cafés or restaurants, ranging from quirky and casual to formal dining. In summer, when the beachside setting heats up, it’s the ideal place to hang out with your family or friends.
Jetty Road is open for business 7 days a week. Many stores stay open late in the run-up to Christmas and late night shopping is every Thursday.
As a tourist area, a select number of cafes and restaurants are open on Christmas Day. The majority of stores and restaurants are open on all the public holidays, including Proclamation Day Tuesday 27 December and New Year’s Day. Normal trading hours take place on the New Year's Day Public Holiday.GU FILM HOUSE,
GU Film House Glenelg
The GU Film House in the eastern end of Glenelg’s Jetty Road precinct boasts six cinemas with large leatherette seats, onsite licensed café/bar and an enticing mix of arthouse and blockbuster movies in a stylish, purpose built cinema complex.
Located on Cowper Street (just off Jetty Road) the GU Film House is easily accessible, with convenient, undercover onsite parking and close proximity to the Bay Tram, Glenelg buses and Partridge Street East car park.
Marina Pier offers a relaxing seaside, food, wine and shopping precinct. Indulge in the fine culinary delights from an array of cuisines at one of the many restaurants on the pier.
