Please note the Bay Discovery Centre will be open extended hours during the school holidays starting Monday 12 April. Hours are Monday-Friday 9am-4pm and Saturday-Sunday 10am-2pm.

The Bay Discovery Centre is a social history museum in the heart of Glenelg, celebrating the cultural heritage of South Australia. Wander through our galleries to discover the stories of the Kaurna People of the Adelaide Plains, South Australia's Proclamation and settlement, the evolution of beach culture and some of our States most loved identities.

Opening Times

Open daily from 10am to 2pm.
Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and Good Friday.

Entry is by Gold Coin Donation.

Group Bookings & Resources

Bookings can be made for groups of more than 10 people below.

Please note, our School Group bookings will commence from 20 July in-line with the beginning of Term 3, and any relevant Government COVID-19 restrictions.
