The ecosystems in our city take in an array of environments, from suburban gardens to natural shrubland, sand dunes and of course, the sea.
Our western boundary is made up of nine kilometres of coastline. It's attraction for thousands of tourists who visit our clean, sandy/beaches all year round.
The Environment Protection Authority, Local Government (Councils) and the Police have key roles in managing noise problems under this Policy. The Noise Policy affects everyone including businesses licensed under the Environment Protection Act 1993, non-licensed and domestic premises.
