Libraries, Community Centres temporarily closed

Council’s two public libraries at Glenelg and Brighton will be closed from 5pm Wednesday 25 March until further notice.

However all current loans have been extended so there is no need to return your items.

You can still access a wide range of resources online including eBooks, eAudioBooks, eMagazines and the Story Box Library for children via this page on our website -

If you are not currently a library member, you can join online -

The new restrictions announced by the Federal Government also means that our four Community Centres have been temporarily closed to the public until further notice.

This includes all programs and services at the:

  • Glenelg Community Centre
  • Glenelg North Community Centre
  • Holdfast Bay Community Centre
  • Brighton Community Centre

The Glenelg North Community Garden and Brighton Community Garden are also closed until further notice with members asked to tend to their own plots.
