Playgrounds reopen to the public

Holdfast Bay playgrounds will start to reopen today, under a rolling schedule that will be completed by the weekend.

Before the playgrounds are opened, each playground will be checked, cleaned and the old signange and bunting will be removed.

Playground users are urged to maintain safe social distancing of 1.5 metres apart, with gatherings of no more than 10 people.

SA Health also encourages people to keep up good personal hygiene and regular hand washing.

While most playgrounds in the Holdfast Bay area will be operational by the weekend, please note that John Miller Reserve remains closed to the public, while maintenance and equipment upgrades are carried out.

The Wigley Reserve playspace is also closed while it undergoes a major redevelopment, with the anticipated reopening in October this year.

The skatepark, at the corner of Brighton Road/Highet Avenue is also closed due to the Brighton Oval redevelopment.
