Volunteers needed to help make our beaches accessible
Monday 27 March 2023
Following another successful accessible beach day at Glenelg, volunteers are now being sought to help make our beaches accessible to the whole community.
Construction of the DDA-compliant (Disability Discrimination Act) ramp just north of Glenelg Jetty will begin soon.
This is an important step in making Glenelg Beach accessible to the community, and Council is now seeking volunteers to help realise the dream.
If you’d like to play a role or to find out more, contact our Community Wellbeing team via email at wellbeing@holdfast.sa.gov.au
Thanks to PQSA and the Rotary Club of Glenelg and the Rotary Club of Holdfast Bay for their support at both of our accessible beach days held this year.
