Hove Level Crossing Removal

Thursday 21 January 2021
Hove level crossing

The Australian and South Australian governments have committed to the removal of the Hove Level Crossing on Brighton Road.

This a State Government project and, like local residents and businesses, the City of Holdfast Bay is a stakeholder and not the project controller. The council will advocate for the best outcome for the whole of the community.

Community members wishing to gain more information or provide their views to the State Government’s Department of Transport and Infrastructure (DIT) can do so in the following ways:

  • More information on the project and a video presentation on the options under consideration is available on the Hove Level Crossing Removal website - www.dit.sa.gov.au/HoveLXing
  • Attend a drop-in session organised by DIT at the Brighton Football Club, 410 Brighton Road, Brighton. The dates are:
    • Saturday, 30 January
    • Monday, 1 February
    • Wednesday, 3 February
  • Full details, times and the link to register to attend a drop in session are available on the website - www.dit.sa.gov.au/HoveLXing.
  • Prior registration before attending any information sessions is essential to ensure COVID-19 physical distancing requirements are met.
