Greening Our Community grants now open
Tuesday 31 May 2022
How does your garden grow? If it needs a bit of help, consider applying for a $5000 Greening Our Community grant, which is available to community groups to undertake environmentally themed projects.
They could involve one or more of the following:
- Native flora and fauna: eg, building and installing bird and bat boxes, planting local native plants
- Water conservation: eg, installing water saving devices
- Energy reduction or renewable energy: eg, installing solar panels
- Waste reduction: eg, installing recycling bins, installing composting facilities
- Nature and sustainable living education
- Sustainable transport: eg, installing bike racks, installing an electric vehicle charging station
Grants will be awarded to projects that have a direct and practical environmental benefit and encourage broad community participation in environmental and sustainability projects.
Submissions open on Monday 30 May and close on Friday 8 July.
