Glenelg’s Giant Wheel keeps on spinning

Tuesday 18 February 2020

The Mix 102.3 Giant Wheel, which has been set up in Glenelg’s Moseley Square for the summer months, will spin for a few weeks more.

Monday 9 March 2020 will be the attraction’s final date in Glenelg for this summer, thanks to the City of Holdfast Bay granting a two week extension to the operator’s licence.

The Giant Wheel has been operating daily since November 2019 and has again proven to be one of the Bay’s most popular attractions this summer.

Standing 35 metres high, it’s the tallest portable wheel of its kind in Australia, with 24 gondolas each seating up to six people.

It provides spectacular views over the coastline, down Jetty Road and across to the Adelaide Hills.

Tickets cost $10 each or $30 per gondola (which seats up to six people).
