The latest Holdfast News - our fortnightly e-newsletter - is out now with a summary from this week’s council meeting which made history.
In a first for Holdfast Bay, the council meeting was all female-led, with the Mayor Amanda Wilson, Deputy Mayor Rebecca Abley and Acting CEO Pamela Jackson.
Holdfast Bay's high representation of women in leadership positions follows in the tradition of Brighton's own Susan Grace Benny, who 100 years ago, became the first woman elected to local government in Australia.
You can also sign up to receive your free copy of Holdfast News every fortnight. Fill in your details below.
To make Holdfast News accessible to everyone in our community, printed copies of the newsletter are also available in both the Brighton and Glenelg libraries, at the Brighton Civic Centre, at Glenelg’s Bay Discovery Centre and at Alwyndor in Hove.
