Community invited to join suicide prevention forum
The community is invited to come together and join a conversation about community-focused suicide prevention and the establishment of a Suicide Prevention Network.
A key initiative of Premier Steven Marshall is the establishment of Suicide Prevention Networks within the local community. The upcoming suicide prevention forum is the first step towards creating a network in Holdfast Bay.
It’s hoped the local network will be made up of community stakeholders who will work together to raise awareness, increase compassionate conversation and breakdown the stigma associated with mental illness and suicide.
The forum, to be held on 9 June at ACH Group Stadium at Glenelg East, will be attended by representatives from all levels of government including Holdfast Bay Mayor Amanda Wilson and Member for Morphett, Stephen Patterson.
There will also be a Q&A session with advocates from Wellbeing SA and the Premier’s Advocate for Suicide Prevention and Community Resilience.
The event is free however registrations are required.
