Celebrating the best of Brighton

Tuesday 29 March 2022

The best in local hospitality, retail, live music, kids’ activities and entertainment will bring Jetty Road Brighton to life on Saturday afternoon and well into the evening.

The Brighton Street Party kicks off at 10am on 2 April and will continue until 10pm - with a fireworks display bringing the celebrations to a colourful end at 9pm from the Brighton Jetty.

With the road closed to traffic, traders will spill out onto the street to create a festival atmosphere and will be offering Street Party specials throughout the day and night.

Two stages will be set up at either end of the street to host local entertainers and music ranging from Cuban to jazz and a renowned Adelaide DJ spinning sweet vinyl tunes into the night.

For the kids, there'll be free face painting, live art demonstrations by Azzurro Arts and free chalk for the kids to make their own street art creations.

Holdfast Bay Mayor Amanda Wilson is looking forward to enjoying Brighton's best offerings after two big weekends in Glenelg.

“It’s time to shine the spotlight on Brighton,” Mayor Wilson said.

“Brighton locals know how lucky they are to have this precinct at their doorstep and now the rest of us get to enjoy it too - not just for a morning coffee or lunch, but for the entire day.

"Plus we are bringing fireworks back to Brighton, which really adds to the festival atmosphere."
