It’s music to the ears of ice cream lovers everywhere – a dedicated festival celebrating all things ice cream.

The Glenelg Ice Cream Festival will take over Jetty Road Glenelg, Moseley Square and the foreshore on Saturday 30 October for a one-day celebration of arguably everyone’s favourite treat.

The community street party, which runs from 11am – 5pm, will showcase the delicious, decadent and delightful ice cream – and gelato - flavours from around the world. But that’s not all.

Accompanying the ice cream on offer will be pop up food stalls and bars, live music, fashion parades, kids’ activities and the return of the Mix 102.3 Giant Wheel – which will be spinning over the summer months providing amazing views over Glenelg beach and across to the Adelaide Hills.

If you love rock n roll music, be sure to catch up with swing legends, The Rhythm Cats, who’ll be performing at the street party throughout the afternoon.

And keep an eye out for the roving entertainers, who’ll be popping up along Jetty Road and into the side streets off the main street.

The fashion parades will showcase local retailers, designers and the colours and trends for summer, along with woollen garments usually seen at the Royal Adelaide Show.

There’ll also be dairy-free ice creams, gelatos and sorbets on offer during the festival.

Jetty Road, Glenelg will be closed to traffic for the street party between Colley Tce and Gordon St/Partridge St intersection.

The event is free and people are asked to ensure they use the QR codes to check-in at each business or activity they attend.
