Minda Coast Park construction starts
Construction of the Minda Coast Park has begun this week in between Somerton Park and Brighton.
On site there will be construction and landscaping activity and the area has been temporarily fenced and has restricted access through the dunes to the beach.
A shared initiative between the South Australian Government and Adelaide’s six coastal councils, the Coast Park is a continuous two-way pedestrian and cyclist trail along the metropolitan Adelaide coastline. When complete in September 2019, it will stretch from North Haven in the north to Sellicks Beach in the south.
The Minda Dunes Coast Park will be 500 metres long and 4 metres wide and is the last section to be built in the City of Holdfast Bay and will provide a continuous path from Kingston Park to Glenelg North.
This crucial path will also link our two Jetty Road Mainstreets, in both Glenelg and Brighton.
