Finding immediate support and understanding is crucial in times of hardship or crisis. Our community is fortunate to have a network organisations and local churches committed to providing compassionate assistance with housing needs, emergency food supplies, support for low-income individuals, community meals, laundry services and financial aid for essential needs.

St Andrew’s by the Sea Uniting Church

Community support and food relief services at St Andrew’s UC Glenelg are open on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays 11.30 am to 2.15 pm

Fresh food, non-perishable pantry items, toiletries, chemist vouchers for PBS scripts, clothing and other items

Orange Sky Laundry

Orange Sky Laundry support people experiencing homelessness and hardship through access to free laundry, warm showers and genuine conversation.

  • 5.30 pm – 7.30pm Tuesday (last wash 6.30pm)
  • 11am – 1pm Fridays (last wash 12pm)

Mary’s Kitchen Community Meal

Guests can expect a warm welcome as they enter the vibe of the Mary’s Kitchen community and partake of a free, sit-down meal together.

Community Pantry

Providing emergency food and toiletry supplies Community Care Emergency Assistance and Low-Income Support for people in the local area.

Council continues to monitor homelessness across the city, linking individuals with appropriate services and information, and working more broadly with all relevant agencies to provide a coordinated and collaborative response.
