New Year’s Eve
The traditional New Year’s Eve celebrations and fireworks at Glenelg and Brighton will not be held this year.
The large scale and open nature of the events, which traditionally attract more than 60,000 people, don’t meet COVID-19 requirements around crowd density, social distancing and contact tracing.
Although there are no fireworks this year, the wonderful restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs across Holdfast Bay will still be open on New Year’s Eve. Please consider supporting our local businesses and make reservations to avoid disappointment.
