Library Catalogue Search Welcome to the City of Holdfast Bay Library Service. We offer a range of services and programs as well as an up-to-date collection of items to borrow.

We are part of the SA public library ‘one card’ network. Using your Holdfast Bay library card you will be able to reserve and borrow material held at any South Australian public library. You can also return your library items to any South Australian public library.

2015 Easter Closure

Both Brighton and Glenelg libraries will be closed from Friday 3 April until Monday 6 April 2015.

Normal business hours will resume at 9am on Tuesday 7 April 2015.

The after hours returns chutes at both libraries will be available if you wish to return any library items during this period.

In addition library items can be returned to any public library in South Australia.

The staff of the City of Holdfast Bay Library Service would lke to wish everyone a safe and happy Easter.

To access your library account or to request items, you will need to login to the catalogue using your library bacrode number and PIN. 
Enter the barcode number printed on your library card which starts with "X01", (the second number is a zero) and the PIN will be the last four digits of your phone number (if the card is a Holdfast Bay Library Card).

LibraryThing Content

A number of LibraryThing for Libraries enhancements have been added to our online catalogue to help you find what you are looking for.
These include the tag cloud where users have added subject descriptions to items that other users can click on and see titles that relate to this subject.
"You might also like ..." with recomendations to help you find similar titles.
Virtual Shelf browser that shows users what other titles are shelved nearby.

These features appear on the online catalogue when you click on a title to see more detail. Look for the LibraryThing Content heading.

Bookmarklet allows you to search an online bookstore and then check to see if the library holds a copy of this title.
