The Government of South Australia’s Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) is replacing Jetty Road Glenelg’s tram tracks, with major works being undertaken from Monday 15 May to Friday 9 June 2017 (weather permitting).

Tram services to Glenelg will terminate at Stop 15 Brighton Road. Normal services resume Saturday 10 June 2017. Trams will be free from Stop 12, Morphett Road
Bus services that use or cross Jetty Road will be re-routed to avoid the construction site.

Stage 1 Tram upgrade - Monday 15 May to approximately Sunday 28 May
- Vehicles will be able to cross Jetty Road Glenelg via Colley Terrace and Moseley Street.
Stage 2 Tram upgrade - Monday 29 May to approximately Friday 9 June
- Vehicles will be able to cross Jetty Road Glenelg via Gordon Street and Partridge Street.
Jetty Road's footpaths will be accessible at all times, with crossings at regular intervals.
Jetty Road on-street not available.
To support our traders, shoppers and our community during DPTI’s works, we’re offering extended times for free side-street parking close to Jetty Road.
- 1-hour limits on side streets extended to 2 hours
- 2-hour free parking ticketed carparks in Colley Terrace, Elizabeth Street and Moseley Street
- 3-hour free parking Partridge Street carparks and Dunbar Terrace
Free (untimed) parking Anzac Highway median strip.
Disability parking located as close as possible to existing locations and clearly identified with signage.
Taxi ranks located as close as possible to existing locations.
Loading zones located in side streets and to the rear of businesses will remain in place. However, loading zones on Jetty Road will be temporarily removed and relocated to side streets in close proximity to Jetty Road.
Heavy vehicles delivering and removing construction materials will be restricted to main roads wherever possible including Anzac Highway, Colley Terrace, Jetty Road and Brighton Road. Occasionally, heavy vehicles may need to use local streets to access Jetty Road.
Dunbar Terrace in Glenelg East will be used by DPTI to weld lengths of new tram rails, prior to their installation along Jetty Road. DPTI is contacting nearby residents directly to inform them about this work.
Expect some detours. Enjoy some free parking.
